The vision of the Curriculum
Standards Office is rooted in the Qatar 2030 vision and the four pillars of
development outlined therein i.e. human, social, economic and environmental. Education
is central to the achievement of this vision and the work of English Department
intends to support these goals.
Our aim is to raise the standards
of English language teaching and learning in order to inspire successful
outcomes for all concerned (teachers, students and management) throughout the
school experience from primary to secondary.
This will be achieved through
consistent, progressive and continuous monitoring of the activities and
performance of schools. We seek to ensure that English programs are holistic
and facilitate students’ personal, social and academic development through
varied and motivating curriculum content that supports an understanding of
language, literature, shared culture and the wider world in which we live.’
